The Work consists of single prime contracts comprises the Project for the construction of general construction and Mechanical and Electrical Sub-bidders for a B type Occupancy addition, l493sf footprint (2012 total sf) attached to the owner’s present building(2912 total sf). Utilities electrical, water, sanitary sewer and natural gas lines serving the addition and existing building will re-routed and re-connected due to the construction of the addition. In addition site work consists of walks, parking slab, curb and gutter at the street. The existing building will be in continuous operation during the addition’s construction requiring power, communications and HVAC.

The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid, which in the Owner’s judgment is in their best interest.

Bid Bond will be required in order to submit a bid for the work included in this Bid package. Each bidder shall be prepared upon bid acceptance and contract award, within ten days after notice of award, to execute and effect a contract in accordance with the terms of these specifications.
Performance/Payment bond is required in the full amount of the bid at the award of the contract

The Architect and Contractors offices assume no responsibility for receiving and delivering contractor proposals to the bid opening.

Bidders shall carefully examine entire contents of Contract Documents prepared for the work to become thoroughly familiar with all requirements. Bidders shall visit the construction site (contact Owner as to availability) to obtain first-hand knowledge of existing conditions, including existing utilities and services, obstacles, which may be encountered, and all other conditions relative to the work to be performed. Contractors shall not receive extra payments for conditions that can be determined by examining the site and the contract documents.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.

2023 Utility and Street Improvements

Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of the City of Fosston’s 2023 Utility and Street Improvements project will be received by the City of Fosston, Minnesota, at the office of the City Administrator until 3:00 p.m. on February 9, 2023, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

The proposed work includes, but is not limited to, the following:

The City reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.

Each Bid will be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount equal to Five (5%) percent of the total amount of the bid made payable without condition to the Owner, as a guarantee that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will promptly execute the Agreement in accordance with the Bid and the other Contract Documents.
