JOINT NOTICE OF INTENT FOR THE ORDERLY ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN LAND FROM BRANDSVOLD TOWNSHIP TO THE CITY OF FOSSTON PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES § 414.0325
The City of Fosston (“City”) and Brandsvold Township (“Township”) have prepared and will be considering for adoption a Joint Resolution for Orderly Annexation (“Joint Resolution”) annexing certain portions of the Township into the City as identified in the Joint Resolution following 10 days published notice of the same pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 414.0325, Subd. 1b.
The Joint Resolution is available to view at City Hall and at the Town Hall. The Fosston City Council will consider adopting the Joint Resolution at a meeting on Monday, December 11 at 7:00p.m. at City Hall located at 220 1st St. E, Fosston, Minnesota. The Brandsvold Township Town Board will consider adopting the Joint Resolution at a meeting on Wednesday, December 13 at 7:00p.m. at Town Hall located at the Fosston Fire Hall.
The designated area to be annexed pursuant to the Joint Resolution is legally described as follows:
—A strip of land 66 feet in width over and across that part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 33, Township 148 North, Range 40 West, Polk County, Minnesota, excluding land already within in the City of Fosston, the centerline of which is described as follows: Commencing at the intersection of County Highway 30 and 400th Street SE; thence easterly along the center line of 400th Street SE, as traveled, to the intersection of 400th Street SE and the easterly right-of-way line of Granum Avenue, as extended, and there terminating.—
Gregory Township will hold a Regular Meeting on Tuesday, December 12th @ 8:30pm at the home of the Clerk.
