REQUEST FOR BREAD BID:
The Board of Education of Independent School District No. 601 of Fosston, Minnesota requests sealed bids for 1 1/2 pound whole grain white bread, wheat bread, 4” hamburger buns, hot dog buns and steak buns (also include bid figures on other products normally used) for the Fosston High School and the Magelssen Elementary School for the school year 2022-23. Product must be 51% whole grain, with product specifications listed. Bids should be based on the fact that there are 600 students in the school district and about 80% of the students eat hot lunch. Lunch is served 172 days each year. Delivery should be four days a week, preferably Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday before 10:00 A.M.
Bids are to be opened by the Superintendent on August 17, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at the High School Superintendent’s Office. Award of Service will be acted upon at the regular school board meeting August 18, 2022. Submit all bids to Superintendent Todd Selk, 301 E 1st St, Fosston, Minnesota 56542.

NOTICE OF FILING DATES FOR ELECTION TO THE SCHOOL BOARD INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 601 FOSSTON
STATE OF MINNESOTA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the period for filing affidavits of candidacy for the office of school board member of Independent School District No. 601 shall begin on August 2, 2022, and shall close at 5:00 o’clock p.m. on August 16, 2022.
The general election shall be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. At that election, three (3) members will be elected to the School Board for terms of four (4) years each.
Affidavits of Candidacy are available from the school district clerk, Fosston High School, Superintendent’s Office, 301 1st St E, Fosston, MN 56542. The filing fee for this office is $2. A candidate for this office must be an eligible voter, must be 21 years of age or more on assuming office, must have been a resident of the school district from which the candidate seeks election for thirty (30) days before the general election, and must have no other affidavit on file for any other office at the same primary or general election.
The affidavits of candidacy must be filed in the office of the school district clerk and the filing fee paid prior to 5:00 o’clock p.m. on August 16, 2022.

REQUEST FOR FUEL QUOTES:
The Board of Education of Independent School District No. #601 of Fosston, Minnesota requests sealed quotes for transportation fuel for the 2022-2023 school year. Since the District does not have the capacity to store fuel, all prices will need to be at your pump. The District is exempt from paying State and Federal taxes.
For the 2022-2023 school year we are also requesting the option to prepay for truckload quantities. Please include prepay bids for truckload quantities with storage and dispense at your facility.

REQUEST FOR SNOW REMOVAL QUOTES
The School Board of Independent School District No. 601 of Fosston, Minnesota requests quotes for snow removal for the 2022-2023 school year.
1. Quotes are to be opened Thursday, August 17, 2022 at 3:00 PM in the Superintendent’s Office at the Fosston High School. Award of Service will be acted upon at the regular school board meeting August 18, 2022.
2. Quotes should reflect removal of snow from the Fosston High School, Magelssen Elementary School and Bus Garage areas. Initial snow removal must be completed on or before 6:00 AM. Removal of snow piles within 24 hours, will guarantee of billing for services in a timely monthly manner.
3. Quote must state type of equipment to be used and an hourly rate.
4. Quote should be mailed or delivered to: Todd Selk, Superintendent, Fosston High School, 301 E First Street, Fosston, MN 56542. “Snow Removal Quote” must be indicated on the quoted document or envelope.
5. The Fosston Board of Education reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any or all quotes.

An ad valorem tax of .0003627 times the taxable market value for 2022, collectible for 2023, will be levied on all taxable property within the Red Lake Watershed District. One-half of the levy will remain in the District for projects listed below; the other one-half of the levy will be sent to the Red River Watershed Management Board for projects within the Red River Basin.
