JOINT NOTICE OF INTENT FOR THE ORDERLY ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN LAND FROM ROSEBUD TOWNSHIP TO THE CITY OF FOSSTON PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES § 414.0325

The City of Fosston (“City”) and Rosebud Township (“Township”) have prepared and will be considering for adoption a Joint Resolution for Orderly Annexation (“Joint Resolution”) annexing certain portions of the Township into the City as identified in the Joint Resolution following 10 days published notice of the same pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 414.0325, Subd. 1b.

The Joint Resolution is available to view at City Hall and at the Town Hall. The Fosston City Council will consider adopting the Joint Resolution at a meeting on July 14 at 7:30p.m. at City Hall located at 220 1st St. E, Fosston, Minnesota. The Rosebud Township Town Board will consider adopting the Joint Resolution at a meeting on July 14 at 7:00p.m. at Town Hall located at the East Polk Heritage Center, Fosston, Minnesota.

The designated area to be annexed pursuant to the Joint Resolution is legally described as follows:

—Beginning at a point 47 feet North of the Southwest corner of the Southeast Quarter (SE1/4) of Section Three (3), Township One Hundred Forty-seven (147) North of Range Forty (40), said point being on the West line of the Southeast Quarter of Section Three (3), Township One Hundred Forty-seven (147) North, Range Forty (40); thence North, 33 degrees and 30 minutes east, a distance of 405 feet; thence northerly a distance of approximately 366.58 feet, more or less, to the southeast corner of cemetery property; thence west a distance of 233.25 feet along the south line of cemetery property to the west line of the southeast quarter of Section Three (3), Township One Hundred Forty-seven (147) North, Range Forty (40); thence south to the point of beginning.
