NOTICE OF FILING DATES FOR ELECTION TO THE SCHOOL BOARD INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 601 FOSSTON
STATE OF MINNESOTA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the period for filing affidavits of candidacy for the office of school board member of Independent School District No. 601 shall begin on July 14, 2026, and shall close at 5:00 o’clock p.m. on July 28, 2026, with withdrawal date of July 30, 2026.
The general election shall be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. At that election, three (3) members will be elected to the School Board for terms of four (4) years each.
Affidavits of Candidacy are available from the school district clerk, Fosston High School, Superintendent’s Office, 301 1st St E, Fosston, MN 56542. The filing fee for this office is $2. A candidate for this office must be an eligible voter, must be 21 years of age or more on assuming office, must have been a resident of the school district from which the candidate seeks election for thirty (30) days before the general election, and must have no other affidavit on file for any other office at the same primary or general election.
The affidavits of candidacy must be filed in the office of the school district clerk and the filing fee paid prior to 5:00 o’clock p.m. on July 28, 2026.

Notice is given that an application for informal appointment of personal representative has been filed with the Registrar. No will has been presented for probate. The application has been granted.
Notice is also given that the Registrar has informally appointed Erick L. Chunn, whose address is 25286 460th Street, Leonard, MN 56652, as personal representative of the Estate of the Decedent. Any heir or other interested person may be entitled to appointment as personal representative or may object to the appointment of the personal representative. Unless objections are filed with the Court and the Court otherwise orders, the personal representative has full power to administer the Estate including, after 30 days from the date of issuance of letters, the power to sell, encumber, lease or distribute real estate.
Any objections to the appointment of the Personal Representative must be filed with this Court and will be heard by the Court after the filing of an appropriate petition and proper notice of hearing.
Notice is also given that all creditors having claims against the Estate are required to present the claims to the personal representative or to the Court Administrator within four months after the date of this Notice or the claims will be barred.

ELECTION AND ANNUAL MEETING
VERNES CEMETERY ASSOCIATION
The annual election and meeting of the Vernes Cemetery Association will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026 at the Vernes Lutheran Church. The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. and all association members are invited to attend. Association members are all members of Vernes Lutheran Church and anyone else who has relatives or friends buried in the cemetery. Again, all members are encouraged to attend.
